The Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a federal agency, recently proposed substantial changes to the federal grantmaking process that would affect how research grants are awarded and administered. To ensure that federal research grants continue to benefit patients and the care they receive, the Coalition for Kidney Supportive Care submitted comments on the proposed rule change. The comments point out concerning downstream effects that some of these changes may have if implemented as proposed.
